
EduS4EL aims at a cultural comparison between schools in different countries in the context of environmental literacy.
It has implemented interventions in schools in Germany (Wildermuth Gymnasium, Rauner Schule, Gemeinschaftschule Maulbronn), in Spain (Instituto Virgen de las Nieves, Granada), and in Italy (Liceo Cavalleriin Parabiago, Liceo Sarrocchi in Siena).
This has made clear that there are differences between countries, both in the context of environmental literacy and in the context of digitalization.
The students at the Liceo Sarrocchi, visited 0n January 9 and 10, 2025, have exhibited special attitudes in environmental literacy and inteerest in acquiring competencies in critical thinking based on data.
The special aspect of the Liceo is that it already treats environmental aspects as part of Civic Education, as described by its rector Martinelli, during her interview.
Another aspect is the interest of some teachers to adopt the tools provided by the project (like statistical instruments from CODAP and plugins from codap.xyz ) in order to treat topics of environmental literacy in the future, as expressed by Valentina Arru in her interview.
